House rules

  • The wellness area is only accessible to hotel guests or guests with a day pass.

  • Swimwear and bath slippers must be worn in the wellness area. Sportswear and sports shoes are mandatory in the fitness room.

  • The use of a towel is required in the sauna, fitness, and lounge areas.

  • Bags, phones, and other electronic devices are not allowed in the entire wellness area; your belongings can be stored in the locker in the entrance area.

  • Children under 12 years old may only enter the wellness area under the supervision and responsibility of a person aged 18 or older.

  • Bringing and consuming your own food and drinks is not allowed.

  • Smoking and e-smoking are not permitted.

  • Reserving loungers, benches, or chairs without using them is not allowed.

  • Showering before using the swimming pool, saunas, and other facilities is mandatory.

  • The wellness area is a place for relaxation. Peace and quiet are appreciated.

  • The use of personal fragrances is not permitted in the Finnish sauna.

  • Van der Valk Hotel Hildesheim assumes that all guests are aware of their health conditions and do not expose themselves to health risks by using the facilities.

  • Entry to the wellness area and the swimming pool is entirely at your own risk. There is no lifeguard supervision. Visitors and accompanying persons are responsible for their own swimming abilities. The pool depth is 1.30 m; diving and jumping are not allowed.

  • The instructions of Van der Valk Hotel Hildesheim staff must be followed at all times.

  • Van der Valk Hotel Hildesheim reserves the right to deny access to guests who do not comply with the house rules. This also applies if the room has already been fully paid. Refunds will not be given.

  • Van der Valk Hotel Hildesheim is not liable for damage, accidents, or theft. Left-behind clothing or other items can be collected at the reception for up to one month after your visit.

  • For safety reasons, there is an emergency button in the Finnish sauna. Cameras are installed in the fitness and swimming pool areas.

  • In case of emergency, you can alert other wellness guests or contact the hotel reception (phone 602). You can also call the emergency number (0) 112.
